Pi Network: When is Phase 3?

A couple of days ago, we published article about Is Pi Network scam or what? and now we were to tell you a little bit about Pi Network Phase 3 and when this should happen. Let's start!

What is PI Network and How it works?

Pi Network is a new cryptocurrency for and by everyday people that you can “mine” (or earn) from your phone.

Cryptocurrencies are a new form of digital money that is maintained and secured by a community, instead of by governments or banks. Today, you can mine (or earn) Pi by helping to secure the currency and by growing Pi’s trusted network. While most cryptocurrencies (like Bitcoin) have been very hard for everyday people to use and access, Pi puts the power of cryptocurrency into the palm of your hand.

Pi was launched on 14.3.2019 on Pi day by three Stanford grads with PhDs:

Stanford grads develop a cryptocurrency for smartphone users to increase its accessibility.

Where we are now?

We are currently in Q2 (Phase 2). Phase two was launched back in 9.3.2020.
Phase two basically means: Build Pi Apps so third-party developers can start building apps that utilize Pi.

What is Mainnet?

Mainnet is the term used to describe when a blockchain protocol is fully developed and deployed, meaning that cryptocurrency transactions are being broadcasted, verified, and recorded on a distributed ledger technology (blockchain).

What Phase 3 means?

Phase 3 means Mainnet. When mainnet start you will receive Pi coins equivalent to your claim modified by KYC processes. Exchange listings may be sought.

When Pi goes Mainnet?

If everything goes according to the timeline and what developers have been telling it should happen by the end of 2021 or early next year. For now it's only waiting and "mining" when you can.
